This web site was created by Michelle
Smith for her Girl Scout Gold Award project, which is the highest
award a Girl Scout can earn.
The Gold Award Project must be a
minimum of fifty hours, show a girl’s leadership skills, community
service, career planning, and personal development. A scout’s
leadership ability is shown by involving others and being a roll
model to them. The project chosen is based on the girls personal
interests, and also should be service-orientated, educational, and
meet a community need, as well as be an ongoing project. With the
help of friends, family, and fellow scouts, this project was
completed. Michelle’s personal time on this project was 245.5 hours,
and the total hours spent from all of the volunteers is 430.25
hours, for a grand total of 675.75 hours, which is well over the
fifty required hours.
Along with creating this web site, Michelle
has donated a book of each cemetery with all of the information to
the Sanford Tri-Parish Community, the Sanford Goodall Library, and
the Springvale Public Library. |
