Dakshina Kannada Kulala(D.K.K.)
Sangha, Bangalore held its 37th
Annual General Body meeting at D.K.Kulala
Samskrithika Kala Kendra under the presidentship
of Mr.Krishnappa Kanvatheertha. The programme
commenced with Satyanarayana Pooja followed by
the welcome note of Mr.Thimmappa Moolya,
Secretary, D.K.K.Sangha. Annual report was read
before the assembled kulalites of Bangalore,
numbering more than 500. Senior members of the
community expressed their appreciation on the
activities of the Sangha & gave their
feedback on the report. As working period of the
old committee had expired, new committee was
formed which will take charge soon. This was
followed by a delicious lunch hosted to the
kulalites who had arrived for this annual
gathering from different corners of Bangalore.

After
lunch, there was a small skit played by Hrithik
Simha(s/o CR Simha) & his team. With the
anchoring by Sri. Purushotham Chendla, the
formal
inauguration of “BHRAMI” to the
Bangalore Kulalites was done. By lighting of the
lamp, the inauguration was marked in a
traditional way. The chief guest for the day
were Mr.Shiva Rao, President of Akhila Bharatha
Sthanika Bhramana Sabha, Mr.Peethambara Heraje,
DCP, Chikballapur and also the President of
Bilava Association and Mr. K.K.Seetharam, public
prosecutor, Govt of Karnataka.

BHRAMI is a initiative taken by
the D.K.K. Sangha to empower the kulal community
through education. A dedicated team to be
focused on this goal was set up a year back.
Book Bank was the first programme launched by
the team to help students of Bangalore. They

Mr.Mahesh K, Convenor of BHRAMI
addressed the audience giving them a flavor of
BHRAMI & its activities. During his speech,
he invited all the community members to support
education.
The
founder member’s of BHRAMI team was introduced
to the audience. The BHRAMI team comprises of
Mahesh K, Madhav Chendla, Puroshatam Chendla,
Venkatesh Saliyan, Dombaya Badyar, Divakar
Moolya & Mahabala D. The chief guest
addressed the audience & appreciated the
efforts taken up by D.K.K.Sangha. He commended
saying that BHRAMI was the right intiative
considering the job opportunities that are
opening up everywhere for the educated.
KK Seetharam addressed the audience &
shared his experience of how education can shape
& improve one’s life.
Mr.Shiva Rao addressed the audience &
gave his advice. He said that there is lot of
knowledge to share between the different Sanghas
of Bangalore, which can finally benefit the
society.
The guests of honor unveiled the
photographs of founder members of the Sangha,
which was displayed in the hall. After the
inauguration, prize distribution was made for
the winners of sports event, which was conducted
by D.K.K.Sangha. It was followed by rib-tickling
entertainment programme played by Mahesh Kumar,
Lokesh Bantwal & Tukaram. The programme
ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Tukaram.
