Doncaster Junior Badminton Club was formed in 2002. Initially meeting at the Deaf School sports hall on Leger Way opposite the racecourse. It then moved to Adwick Leisure Centre, where it stayed until September 2006. We then moved to our present location, the David Ashton Sports Hall at Campsmount School, Campsall.

The Aims of the Doncaster Junior Badminton Club are to provide a safe environment and focal point for the promotion and enjoyment of badminton for all juniors in Doncaster and the surrounding district. The club is run on a non profit making basis by unpaid volunteers. The majority of its resources and equipment have been in part funded by an SRB3 grant in 2003 and a local council forums grant in 2005/6. The hire of the hall, insurance and other expenses are paid out of weekly subscriptions.

Since 2003 the club has run the annual Doncaster Junior Badminton Tournament. A competition open to any child attending the club or any school in the Doncaster borough. Over the years some junior players who have attended coaching sessions at the club have moved on to play in other open tournaments, county level competitions, and at club level in local leagues.

The club promotes a LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) strategy in its coaching methods in line with Badminton England guidelines.
