One of the latest ventures undertaken has been to branch out into amateur filmmaking. There have been a few before and our actors are often used as extras by professional companies, so we thought we would make a regular event over the summer. As this is still a relatively new affair the format is not yet set so there is the opportunity to carve out a niche for yourself.
 
The Chandeliers first foray into film-making was some years ago. It was a silent, black and white melodrama called Buggles Kelly, that took on the look of a Benny Hill chase. Further efforts were made in the 80s where colour was used. The group's 1987 production had its sound recorded separately to combat previous problems. There were many re-takes for both errors and extraneous sounds, like aeroplanes and cars that had to be eliminated. Below are some stills from our productions.
