| Marketing |
| The core publicity team is responsible for the group’s image as a whole and overseeing marketing campaigns undertaken with respect to any production. This can include liaising with the theatre, press and local radio stations. Though there is much letter writing, phone calls and one to one contact involved – much of this can be delegated out to others whilst the core team merely ensures it’s undertaken. |
| Graphic Design |
| A key element of any campaign is the image that will become associated with the production, appearing in the Hazlitt brochure as well as on any handbills or posters. In previous years competitions have been run to decide on the design but lately the task has fallen to an individual who will carry it out for a run of productions before handing over to someone else.
|
| There is a certain corporate image to maintain, alongside essential information to include, but after that the design is up to you – unless the director has strong opinions. The design can be drawn, computer generated or photographic – whichever works best to ‘sell’ the production. Other elements to consider are what the most important information is and what is the most saleable aspect of the show as these can be emphasised by varying the placement, size, colour and font. |

| Photography |
| As an element within any graphic design, original photographs must be taken as any other images may be subject to copyright laws. To this end specific photo shoots are arranged to attain the raw material required to create the design. |

| The casts of every show always enjoy photographs of productions and following our recent foray into the world of cinema, there has also arisen the need for production stills, as an aid to continuity as well as in their own right. |
